Brussels, November 18th, 2004 -- Ansell's market leading surgical gloves, 
Encore® will feature prominently during the MEDICA fair from 24 - 27 November in Düsseldorf (hall 6, stand K16). Ten thousand pairs of top-quality Encore surgical gloves will be donated by Ansell Healthcare Europe to Ärzte der Welt(1) (Médecins du Monde Germany) to ensure the needs of Operation Sourire all over the world. The donation will be announced at the fair in presence of a representative from Ärzte der Welt.
Operation Sourire is run by Ärzte der Welt and has so far provided reconstructive surgery to more than 3000 children and adults who are victims of war, land mines, disease or malnutrition in poor countries. Ärzte der Welt Germany sends a medical team to Cambodia twice a year. The surgeons operate on children suffering from physical anomalies and injuries and give them a chance for a normal social life. Ärzte der Welt will be present at Ansell's booth at MEDICA to welcome volunteer healthcare professionals and donations to this humanitarian organisation active in 47 countries.
