surface prevents instruments from
getting slippery even when exposed
to fatty tissue or synovial fluids. The

Low allergenicity
Users of Ansell Gammex® PF
HyGrip™ benefit from reduced risk of
latex sensitisation. This is ensured
through leaching processes and
post-production washing cycles, such
as Ansell’s Protein and Endogenous
Allergen Reduction Leaching
(P.E.A.R.L) technology. HPLC and
Modified Lowry methods are used to
measure protein content.
The risk for Type IV allergy is
reduced because Ansell’s unique
accelerator is completely consumed
during the manufacturing process.

(water leak tested): conformity to European norm EN 455-1: inspection level I AQL 1.5, manufacturing final release: inspection level I AQL 1.0, in process control before packaging: inspection level II AQL 0.65

HyGrip™ offers the same welcome
ergonomic features, including a
specially designed surface for safe
and secure instrument handling
without compromising good sensitivity.
Thinner latex at the palm and
fingers, compared to other surgical
gloves, also enhances sensitivity.
Gammex® PF HyGrip™ minimises
hand fatigue, thanks to the use of
special formers during the manufacturing
process. Its unique design
includes a straight cuff that relieves
pressure on the forearm while operating.
Moreover, the adhesive band at the
top of the cuff maintains good contact
with the surgical gown preventing the
glove from rolling down.
Excellent for double gloving
Gammex® PF HyGrip™ is designed to
be used as the top glove in double-gloving
solutions when additional safety is
required during high-risk procedures.
The inner coating makes double
gloving easy. Gammex® PF HyGrip™
combined with the Ansell Gammex®
PF Underglove provides superior grip
control for the wearer and excellent
safety for both patient and surgeon.
Easily donned
Donning is made easy even with
damp hands, thanks to the glove’s
water-based synthetic (polyurethane)
inner-coating. A combination of
hydrophilic and hydrophobic components
is integrated within the inner
coating. Upon contact with wet
hands, the hydrophilic components
release a lubricant that improves ease
of donning. The result: much easier
intra-operative changes.
Double gloving for optimal protection
Combined with frequent glove
changes, double gloving (wearing two
pairs of gloves) is probably one of the
most effective methods to reduce
exposure to blood-borne pathogens,
as it reduces by a factor of 10 the
number of potential exposures.(1)
In a 1992 study(2) it was reported that
surgeons who only single gloved had
a 51% hand contamination rate versus
a 7% contamination rate for surgeons
who double gloved.
